Where are you based?
I am based in Oregon but travel regularly to California (San Francisco, Napa, Carmel, Santa Barbara, San Diego), New York (Ithaca, New York City) and Texas (Houston, Austin, San Antonio). I love to travel and add new cities to my schedule for weddings, elopements, branding sessions, mentoring workshops and portrait commissions worldwide.

Do you shoot film or digital?
I am primarily a film shooter, but depending on the situation will also add in digital, as they each have their own advantages and ability to produce beautiful images. All of my digital images are individually hand-edited to match my film scans, ensuring that your gallery will flow seamlessly. 

If we book you for our wedding, do we have to do an engagement session? 
Certainly not, but I highly recommend it... Engagement sessions give us a chance to get to know each other, and spend some time in each others presence before your wedding day.

Do you offer prints and products?
Yes! I'm passionate about providing tangible products so I offer an array of heirloom prints and products. My custom linen albums come in a variety of sizes, as well as fine art prints, canvas wraps, and more.

When will we receive our photos?
You will receive your wedding gallery approximately 4-6 weeks after your wedding, and all other galleries are usually online within 3-4 weeks...depending on the season.

Do you have insurance and backup equipment?
Yes, I am fully insured by a reputable professional company and have backup cameras, lenses and other equipment.

DESTINATION COMMISSIONS

At Betsy Blue, we love serving our clients both near and far. Whether you’re planning a wedding in our beautiful state of Oregon or would like us to come to you for a branding campaign, we are always eager to accommodate your destination photography needs wherever it may take us. Here are some answers to common questions regarding destination services:

What are your destination photography fees and prices?
Our destination photography packages are the same as our standard local photography packages.  Additionally we require coverage of the following items depending on your unique destination:
1) Airfare + Baggage
2) Hotel accommodations
3) Rental car + Fuel
4) Vendor meals for the day of the event(s) + $30/day per traveler for meals on travel days

How many people do I need to fly out?
Depending on your package, timeline and guest count, we generally only need Betsy and possibly a second photographer. In addition, we generally depart for the destination at least one day in advance so that we have plenty of time to scout out your venue as well as ensure that we will be on time to the location on the day of the event.  As for the departing flight, we typically book our return tickets for the day after your last event.

Do I book your travel?
We take care of all of our own flights and rental car reservations. One less thing for you to worry about!
